Nightrush builds software for the people who open and run venues. This page describes that software and the data it runs on.

New Jersey

Nightrush’s active research programme is on how to open and run a venue in New Jersey.

New Jersey is a separate research problem from New York. Retail liquor licences are capped by population and trade on a secondary market. Construction permits come from each town’s construction official under the Uniform Construction Code. Food safety runs under the Chapter 24 food code, with no letter grades. Closing hours and mercantile licences are set by thirteen separate municipal ordinances. In eight of the thirteen towns, an Urban Enterprise Zone exempts a certified operator’s own equipment and supply purchases from sales tax; the meal is taxed at 6.625 percent everywhere. Every category is written against that frame, from New Jersey sources.

The product

Nightrush is a hospitality marketplace and operations platform for venue operators: restaurants, bars, nightclubs and event spaces. An operator posts a request. Vendors quote against it. The deal closes inside the product.

It ships as a native app for iOS and Android and as the web platform at nightrush.ai. Nightrush writes and owns the code.

The information layer

Behind the marketplace sits a proprietary research corpus on how to open and run a venue. It holds one document per category of vendor, service or regulatory concern. Each document is a category bible.

A bible is written from graded primary sources. Every number in it traces to a source row.

How a bible is made

Each bible passes through five stages, run by software Nightrush wrote. Two of them can send the work backwards: grading, when too few sources survive, and the checker, when a draft breaks its contract.

  1. Source discovery

    Automated crawl and search across municipal, state and vendor domains. A New Jersey category draws 30 to 50 sources. A New York category draws 80 to 150.

  2. Grading

    Every source is scored on nine lenses: authority, recency, geography (New Jersey), coverage, pricing signal, supplier signal, regulatory signal, operator utility and a composite. An existence audit then confirms each source still resolves. If fewer than 85 percent are alive, discovery runs again.

  3. Structured extraction

    Findings go into per-municipality matrices stored as CSV, one row per town. Each price and fee sits beside the URL it came from.

  4. Writing under a contract

    The bible is written to a fixed contract: a set length, named local firms, cited prices, and full URLs in place of bare domains.

  5. Mechanical check

    A checker program reads each draft against the contract and fails any bible that breaks it. Nothing ships on trust.

The agents

Bolt

Bolt is an operations agent for venue operators. It answers their questions from the information layer, and it handles scheduling and inbound requests. Nightrush wrote it.

Dispatch

Dispatch is the internal build and research system that produces the corpus. It runs the five stages above, from source discovery to the mechanical check. Nightrush wrote it and runs it for its own use.
